Carleton-in-Craven Village Hall is available to hire as a camping barn, for groups of up to 15 people. (Larger parties may be catered for by prior arrangement).

Carleton is an historic mill village with an active community, situated 2 miles from Skipton and the Leeds Liverpool Canal and about 2 miles from the Pennine Way. The hall is ideal accommodation for groups of walkers and cyclists passing through the area.

Looking for Yorkshire Grand Depart Camping? The Tour de France Grand Depart Yorkshire 2014 will be passing through Skipton on Saturday 5th July 2014, and neighbouring towns of Silsden and Keighley on Sunday 6th July 2014. Our hall is well situated accommodation for groups following the Grand Depart. 

Our camping barn facilities:

Prices:
We charge £8 per person per night, with a minimum booking total of £96 per night. This is payable by cash on arrival, or by cheque or bank transfer in advance (in time for funds to clear).


In Carleton:
  • The Swan Inn, our family-friendly local pub, is straight over the road from the Village Hall. A warm welcome and awaits you from Paul and his team. There is always real ale on offer, alongside the usual drinks including a  full wine list. There are tables outside the front and a beer garden at the rear. A takeaway service is available on both food and drink. Free Wi-Fi.
  • Carleton Post Office is open Monday-Thursday. Cash withdrawals are available here. 
  • Carleton Village Store is a well stock convenience store and off-license, and is open 7 days per week.
In Skipton:
  • A bustling market town, with the market standing Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
  • A wide variety of local independent stores and national chains, including 2 bike shops and several walking and outdoor shops 
  • A fantastic choice of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Most takeaways will deliver to Carleton
  • Skipton Railway Station, on the Airedale line with connections to Leeds, Bradford, Carlisle, Lancaster and Morecambe
  • Skipton Bus Station
  • Things to do: Skipton Plaza Cinema, Skipton Castle, Leeds Liverpool Canal and Springs Branch Canal, Craven Museum
There is a bus service to Skipton Monday-Friday, and taxis are always available.
